TIGRR is looking for the next set of mentees who will come prepared to complete at least the specific aims for a grant proposal for submission to the NIH, VA, NIDILRR and other agencies funding rehabilitation research.
- Expertise and support to be successful at the national level in obtaining research grant support.
- A nationally-recognized group of mentors and consultants as faculty, including representatives of federal funding agencies.
- One-on-one mentorship that maximizes the chance of success.
TIGRR participants are not “attendees” that pay a fee and just show up. They are mentees selected by our review committee from the many applications we receive each year, and this is what makes TIGRR so distinctive.
*We fully intend to have an in-person TIGRR workshop in January 2021 and are working with Wild Dunes in the planning process. At the same time, we know the course of COVID-19 is not completely known. Thus, we have an alternative virtual version planned as backup. We will make a final decision about whether to be in person or virtual by October 1 when we send out acceptance letters. Let us also assure you that applying is not a commitment to accept an invitation to participate if you are accepted.
The TIGRR Workshop is funded by NIH/NICHD grant number 2R25HD074546-07 and sponsored by the American Council of Academic Physical Therapy (ACAPT). TIGRR is a workshop at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Application Dates: July 1 – August 7, 2020. Learn how to apply here.
