We are sad to report that this year’s Run for Research has been cancelled due to health concerns surrounding COVID-19. However, in lieu of a physical race, we would like to encourage everyone to participate in our “Virtual Run for Research.” Our goal is to encourage people to stay active on their own to better their physical and mental health during this difficult time. All proceeds from the 2020 Run for Research will go directly towards the fundraising efforts of Washington University in St. Louis for the VCU-Marquette Challenge!
Each person who signs up will receive a T-shirt as if they were racing on race day. We encourage all participants to get out and run on April 4th, as if they were racing. We would love to see you post your run on social media on April 4th with the hashtag #JustKeepRunningRFR
If you do not want to receive a T-shirt or participate in the virtual run, you can still help us with our fundraising efforts by donating directly to Washington University in St. Louis Program in Physical therapy.
Shirts will be available for pick up directly from Washington University Program In Physical therapy at 4444 Forest Park Ave, St. Louis, MO (we will update on pick-up date, but date will be after April 30th) OR sent to your personal address if you do not live in St. Louis and do not have someone who can pick it up for you. If you are not in the St. Louis area, please provide your address.
Virtual Race Time: Get out and run a 5k, 10k, 1 mile (or however far you want!) at any time on April 4th! Remember to post on social media #JustKeepRunningRFR
Deadline for T-shirt: To receive a shirt you must sign up by April 4th.
Statement about refunding
If you have already signed up for the Run For Research, would not like to “participate” virtually and receive a shirt, and would like a refund, please let us know and we will do our best to figure that out.
