The Foundation for Physical Therapy Research (FPTR) and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Student Assembly will cohost a live event on November 10, 2020 at 8pm Eastern time, for students who want to learn more about research and the Marquette Challenge. Yusra Iftikhar, PT, DPT, the Director of Communications for the APTA Student Assembly Board of Directors, will be joined by Foundation President Paul Rockar Jr., PT, DPT, MS, FAPTA, and Challenge Student Coordinators Kat De Lara, SPT of Marquette University and Erin Paasch, SPT of VCU.

Physical therapy research is guiding the profession for future PTs and PTAs – beginning with how students are prepared in physical therapy education. Research also helps us pioneer and discover new treatments and learn more about how we deliver care. Futher, research helps position physical therapy in the larger healthcare system. Learn more about how research has changed in the forty years since the founding of FPTR and hear from students about how supporting research can help keep you connected with your classmates and the profession.
