Don’t miss the kickoff for this year’s VCU-Marquette Challenge. We’re hosting a special livestreamed virtual event and you’re invited! RSVP to join us on October 19, 2021, at 8PM EST.

Our featured guest for the evening is Julia Mazzarella, PT, DPT, of The Ohio State University. Mazzarella is the recipient of the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research (FPTR) 2021 fellowship award. Her research focuses on interventions for children with cerebral palsy. She is also a recent past recipient of a scholarship named in honor of the Marquette Challenge. Our Challenge coordinators will host the event and provide important dates, updates, and resources for our Challenge fundraising schools.

The Marquette Challenge is a student-led annual fundraiser to support research. Each year, hundreds of physical therapist (PT) and physical therapist assistant (PTA) students – with the support of program directors, faculty, and community – hold events to raise funds for FPTR. The Challenge is critical to our ability to carry out our mission. Since 1989, more than 300 schools have participated, raising $4.5 million for research. Every donation, big or small, makes it possible to fund scholarships, fellowships, and research grants.

So be sure to join us as we kickoff this year’s VCU-Marquette Challenge! RSVP today to attend and connect with the research that your fundraising makes possible!
