PHYSICAL THERAPY COMMUNITY MOURNS PASSING OF SHEILA NICHOLSON, PT, DPT, JD, MBA, MA

The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) reports that Sheila Nicholson, PT, DPT, JD, MBA, MA, a member of the APTA Board of Directors and passionate advocate for the physical therapy profession, died on June 12, after a more than 2-year battle with cancer. She was 57.

Nicholson was a generous and longtime supporter of the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research. She also served as the president of APTA’s Florida Chapter, an organization that has championed physical therapy research.
