Marquette Challenge “New Grads” Event Connects Future PTs with Leaders in Profession

In case you missed it, we recently hosted an event for future PTs beginning the profession as part of our VCU-Marquette Challenge event series. “New Graduates Entering the Profession” was hosted by the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research with the support of guest speakers, FPTR Trustee Terry Brown, PT, DPTJeanine Gunn, PT, DPT, and past Marquette Challenge coordinator, Haley Naegeli, PT, DPT.

Terry Brown, Vice President and COO of Pro.Active Physical Therapy and Jeanine Gunn, COO of Therapeutic Associates, shared their insider knowledge on what companies are looking for when hiring new graduates. Dr Naegeli shared her personal account on entering the workforce during a pandemic.

This free event was open to all students. Every year, students across the United States hold fundraising events to raise money for research through the Marquette Challenge. The Challenge allows students to give forward to your future profession and build networks that will last a lifetime.

As a reminder, the deadline for this year’s Challenge is May 17.
