Now that both of the cross country riders for the Ride for PT Research have had a chance to catch their breath, we at the Foundation wanted to extend our sincerest gratitude to Drs. Stanley Paris and Hilmir Agustsson for their extreme commitment for physical therapy research.
With their latest endeavor, they spent over 30 days away from home, biking over the mountains of California, across the deserts of Arizona, and through the Plains of Texas until finally reaching their destination of St. Augustine FL, to raise awareness for the Foundation for Physical Therapy.
That’s over 3,000 miles!
We would also like to thank every individual who took time to spend a day riding with Stanley and Hilmir trying to promote a cause important to them: physical therapy research.
Truly a remarkable feat and one we cannot thank you enough for. You endured heavy rains and scorching heat, flat tires and sore muscles, but at least you had a great view along the way – and the journey left you several pounds lighter!
While many had their doubts that Paris at age 78 would be able to cover the entire Southern Tier of the United States, he peddled every mile attributing the feat to his lifelong commitment to a healthy and active lifestyle.
Thank you once again. Your inclination to constantly challenge yourself for the sake of others only serves to motivate us to continue working towards funding innovative research to build a more mobile society.
From all of us at the Foundation
