2024 Research Grants Open This Spring

The Foundation is aiming to post the updated 2024 research grant guidelines by mid-March, with applications opening in early April. We will send out announcements when they are available. Below are short summaries of grants we expect to award this year. All applications have eligibility and other requirements, which may vary among grants. All research proposals should demonstrate how they fit with the 2023 APTA Research Agenda. Only one award per grant will be made. All grants may be for one or two years. The Foundation reserves the right not to make an award.

Note that FPTR is now using a new Grants Management platform to simplify and streamline the application and peer-review process. All online submissions will now be accepted through Altum’s propsalCentral. Check out our Grant Reporting Instructions for more information on how to utilize this new system.
