Since 1979, FPTR has awarded more than $20 million in research funding to the most promising physical therapist researchers. Even more remarkable than this major investment in research is the return.

Our researchers have built on their early career funding to secure an additional $894 million in follow-on funding from major agencies including the NIH, the Department of Defense, the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases, and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health & Human Development, among others.

In this FPTR webinar, leaders in research will discuss the path that made them more competitive for research funding and the larger funding opportunities that are available for physical therapist researchers. A member of FPTR’s Scientific Review Committee will also speak about the grants review process and offer insight on how the FPTR grants process can create opportunities for emerging investigators.
