Foundation Patrons Make Gifts to Sustain the Organization’s Work

The Foundation has recently received several gifts to help the organization continue to carry out its mission for many years to come.

Foundation Trustee Paul Rockar and his wife, Judy, have named the Foundation as the recipient of a $100,000 planned gift to support the Foundation’s Legacy Endowment Fund. This gift will sustain physical therapy research priorities identified by the Foundation Board.

They are joined by Marilyn Gerhard, along with Nancy Byl and her husband Frederick Byl, who are the Foundation’s newest Legacy Society members. Legacy Society members have expressed their commitment to the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research and the future of the physical therapy profession through a very special gift. These donors have named the Foundation as the ultimate beneficiary of a planned gift. Such gifts might include a bequest and/or naming the Foundation as a beneficiary of a retirement plan, insurance policy or of a trust. Marilyn’s gift will support pediatric research.

Additionally, the California Physical Therapy Association and the California Physical Therapy Fund  have jointly agreed to contribute to the Foundation’s President’s Sustaining Fund by pledging $50,000 over five years.

The Academy of Physical Therapy Education has pledged $500,000 to support research in education.

Our sincere gratitude for all of these generous gifts that will allow us to continue our work well into the future.
