Foundation Welcomes New Staff Member and Interns

Liz Jackson will lead the Foundation’s scientific programs and the Foundation’s summer interns have joined the team.

We are pleased to announce that the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research team is growing. Please join us in welcoming Liz Jackson as the Foundation’s Sr. Specialist, Research & Grants Program. Her first day was April 24.

Liz Jackson, Senior Specialist of Research and Grants Program

As Sr. Specialist, Liz will oversee the grant and scholarship programs and will be responsible for pre and post award functions. She will also serve as a liaison between the Foundation and the physical therapy research community.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Liz served as the Director of Grants Administration for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation in Monrovia, CA, where she helped administer over $250,000,000 in funding. Liz graduated with a BBA in Accounting, with minors in General Business and Law, from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI.  Welcome Liz!

The Foundation also welcomed two summer interns this month: Natalie Kwon and Jessica Strupp. Natalie is a graduate of James Madison University with a degree in Health Sciences and will be starting her associates program in Physical Therapy Assistant. During her 10-week internship, Natalie will assist with the Foundation’s scientific programs, fundraising, and marketing efforts. Jessica recently completed her third year as an exercise physiology major at Marquette University, with direct admission to the DPT program. She will serve as a Marquette Challenge Coordinator for the 2020 Marquette gala. She will be immersed heavily in the Marquette Challenge and will aid Foundation staff with their fundraising and scientific program efforts through August 9, 2019.  Welcome Natalie and Jessica!
