This is the perfect course for clinicians who work with pediatric and adolescent patients in pain. Understanding key pain issues — science, pharmacology, psychology,assessment and management — is crucial to achieve effective, compassionate patient-centered care. Participants will take away practical information to improve practice and provide the most effective, value-based,patient care. Pediatric cases will be presented giving the participants the opportunity to practice clinical reasoning and share ideas. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. All proceeds from this course will support the VCU DPT program in the 2019-2020 VCU-Marquette Challenge in raising funds to benefit the Foundation for Physical Therapy.
