Stanley Paris to Sail Around the World For Physical Therapy Research
At the age of 76, Foundation Trustee Dr. Stanley Paris PT, PhD, FAPTA, FAAOMPT is on his way to becoming the oldest person to sail solo around the globe nonstop in 2013. Stanley is generously using this high visibility trip to help raise funds and awareness for his favorite charity – the Foundation for Physical Therapy! Log ‘N Blog
The Log ‘N Blog is a new effort that enables students, faculty, patients and members of the general public to participate in collectively raising funds for physical therapy research. Participants are able to log their swimming, biking and running/walking miles over the year and blog about their experiences on the Log ‘N Blog website. This new initiative helps promote healthy lifestyles and raises awareness about the importance of physical therapy research.
2013 Foundation Gala
Save the Date! The Foundation’s annual Gala will take place on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center during APTA’s Conference & Exposition. The program will include recognition of our 2013 service award recipients and a special tribute to past Trustees of the Foundation’s Board.
