How Are Donations Used?

Challenge donations provide for an annual research grant to an emerging investigator who will study the effectiveness of physical therapist interventions. This researcher contributes scientifically-based and clinically relevant physical therapy research, which is increasingly important due to the growing demand for evidence-based practice. The top fundraising school of the Challenge will share naming rights with Marquette University for the research grant. Challenge funds also provide for a Promotion of Doctoral Studies (PODS) I Scholarship to be awarded each year.

Funds raised through the Challenge also contribute to the rigorous and high quality peer-review process which results in the awarding of all Foundation scholarships and grants.

Students participating in the Marquette Challenge have raised over $3.7 million in support of the Foundation and its mission over the past 29 years.
